SAFETY

4/15/2023 -- In accordance with Chicago Parks District, City, State, Federal, and industry union guidelines, Jackalope will employ the following Safety Measures for audiences at our venue in the Broadway Armory Park:
• HEPA Air Purifiers that maintain 99.99% fresh air at all times, with two air exchanges per hour (ACH).
• Hand sanitizers will be available at every accessible surface.
• All surfaces and high-volume touch points will be sanitized before, during and after performances.
• Mask wearing is strongly recommended while in Jackalope’s designated areas within the Broadway Armory Park
*In order to respond to changing circumstances, Jackalope may update these safety measures at any time up until performances. Please check back for updates before planning your visit!
LOCATIONS
Jackalope Theatre Company is now solely located at The Broadway Armory venue! Our first venue, The Frontier, closed in November 2020. The space remains a performance venue under new management.

PARKING
There is a parking lot adjacent to Broadway Armory Park at 5917 N Broadway. The entrance to the lot is on Thorndale Avenue, and parking is $2 per hour until 9 p.m., and then $1 after that. We recommend parking for a total of 3 hours to ensure you will not be ticketed. In addition, metered street parking is available on both Broadway and Thorndale Avenue. These meters operate Monday - Saturday, and parking is free on Sundays. For more information about Chicago parking meters, visit www.parkchicago.com. While street parking is available, please leave enough time to find a space and get to the theater before the show starts, as late seating is not usually possible.

TRANSIT
Broadway Armory Park is steps from the Thorndale Red Line Station. Exit the station and head west to Broadway and the Park is on the southeast corner. You can also take the #36 Broadway Bus to Thorndale Avenue. www.transitchicago.com/

NAVIGATING THE ARMORY (IT'S BIG!)
Jackalope is proud to produce in Broadway Armory Park, but it’s a big, old building that can be difficult to navigate. Once you arrive at Broadway Armory Park, an usher will greet you at the building entrance. There are purple signs along the walls directing you to the theater, which is on the second level, above the gym. It's a large building, so we recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to showtime to give ample time to make your way to the theater.

If you require elevator access to the second floor, please contact jackalope@jackalopetheatre.org so that we may make arrangements to meet you in the lobby and take you up the elevator.

DINING OPTIONS
There are many other great neighborhood options for dining in the area, available both pre- and post-show. Our favorites are Mas alla del Sol (Mexican), Mango Pickle (Indian), Moody's (burgers and beer), Indie (sushi and Thai), and ReWired (Pizza).

EDGEWATER THEATRE DISTRICT
The Edgewater Theatre District, home to over 20 local theatres, makes Edgewater unique among this city of neighborhoods. Join your community and endeavor to experience what makes this area awesome. We encourage you to watch one (1) play or performance in the Edgewater Theatre District this year.
