Jackalope's upcoming mainstage production, Under Construction, looks at the American family through the eyes of one young woman as she sifts through her memories trying to make sense of her past. Visually we use the work of Norman Rockwell and modern assemblage art to examine idealism vs realism, memory vs imagination, and our own personal construction.
Casting is for 2-3 workshop dates (TBA) before the rehearsal period as well. Auditions are by appointment only; you must have a confirmed slot to audition. To request an audition slot, interested persons should email jackalope@jackalopetheatre.org with their headshot/resume and wait for a response. Make sure you title the subject line "UC AUDITION REQUEST".
We're excited to see YOU!

UNDER CONSTRUCTION
From the script by Charles Mee. Adapted by AJ Ware, Melanie Berner, and Andrew Burden Swanson. Directed by Associate Artistic Director, AJ Ware.
The production by Charles Mee and the SITI Company was a hit at 2008's Humana Festival. Ware, Berner, and Swanson take the concept- a dissection of American life seen through the eyes of visual artists- and infuse it with Jackalope's signature aesthetic.
Juxtaposing the work of Norman Rockwell and modern artist, Tom Deininger, Under Construction asks how far we can really remove ourselves from our past and whether we can be truly whole by doing so.
Info on the workshop and production coming soon, so keep an eye out!
